Job Opportunity
goHomePort Repairs is seeking Service Advisors who are primarily responsible for ensuring that we build strong relationships with our customers, and that they receive excellent service—this role will be the first person they meet when coming to our repair shop.  Accuracy is paramount, as the Service Advisor will be the liaison between the customer and the Technician working on their Class A, Class C, camper vans/truck campers, travel trailers, pop-ups, and fifth wheels.  This role is also responsible for scheduling/coordinating service work, developing cost estimates, tracking repairs, communicating updates to customers, and ensuring that we deliver within appropriate deadlines.

Ideal candidates will be experienced, hardworking, trustworthy, and easy to collaborate with on a team.  This position is on-site and will involve collaborating with multiple business units.  This position operates with limited prescription/supervision and may also involve driving to various locations throughout the day.

Responsibilities
This role also works to ensure that shop operations run smoothly.  This role will assist RV Technicians as needed, including portering RVs, handling vendor orders/returns, and helping maintain an organized and clean shop environment.  While this is not an exhaustive list, the following are some essential duties:
  • Facilitates RV orientations with prospective and current clients; completes detailed service writing and then advises customers and Technicians on a maintenance plan for their RV.
  • Orders inventory for the RV Technicians as needed to ensure they receive the correct parts promptly
  • May operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy materials and equipment
  • Safely maneuver vehicles in and around shop bays and road test vehicles as needed

  • Troubleshoots and resolves any issues with parts orders or inventory
  • Establishes, organizes, and stocks parts and equipment at each repair shop as needed
  • Collaborates with Operations Managers to reconcile AP on past due invoices and open orders weekly
  • Assists with regular cycle counts of parts as well as participates in quarterly inventory counts
  • Uphold Federal, State, and local regulations (i.e., disposal of hazardous waste)
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and educational classes as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or General Manager

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of mechanical/technical/automotive experience required; prior RV industry experience preferred.  We are willing to train the right individuals!
  • Valid Driver's License needed
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask while being precise, and exhibiting some flexibility as circumstances warrant (i.e., rush jobs, work volume, etc.)
  • A positive "can do" attitude and ability to complete work within expected deadlines
  • Must be able to pass background screening before employment, and we promote a drug-free work environment

What we offer
  • The salary for this exempt role is $40,000-$50,000/based on experience + monthly commissions
  • We offer a robust benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
