Job Description:
goHomePort is hiring a VP of Marketing to lead the marketing function at goHomePort.  This leader will design and drive the marketing strategy across all three goHomePort businesses (storage, service and repair, and rentals), and will create and execute the marketing plan for the storage business while working with the marketing directors in the rentals and service/repair businesses. He or she will drive demand, manage all customer communication, and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial candidate that has the right mix of structured thinking and opportunistic and creative instincts. This role will be hybrid, based in the Greater Denver Metro or Greater Chicago Metro and remote.  The role will report to the Founder of goHomePort with dotted line reporting to the leaders of goHomePort Rentals and goHomePort Service and Repair.

Role and Responsibilities 
  • Be a thought leader and drive the marketing strategy for all three goHomePort businesses
  • Execute marketing plan for goHomePort Storage
  • Manage demand generation programs to attract and engage new prospects for all businesses
  • Execute a clearly-defined marketing and communications strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances brand equity
  • Develop and maintain key performance metric reports that track performance and efficiency
  • Develop strong customer insights and personas to inform messaging and marketing strategy
  • Design and implement communication programs using multiple channels to cross-sell customers between goHomePort businesses
  • Own strategy, execution, and measurement of marketing activities to generate and nurture revenue pipeline across multiple channels including digital media, live events, and account-based marketing
  • Oversee program execution with partners and third-party vendors, including negotiating any necessary contracts, program setup, lead and vendor management, and ROI analysis
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to generate demand and drive growth. Develop business cases, gain endorsement, and execute.
  • Manage annual events strategy, calendar, and execution as well as tracking results and follow up with leads
  • Develop quarterly content calendar and assist with content creation, website management, and other projects to drive demand generation and revenue
  • Significantly increase performance marketing capabilities to increase marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Design and implement retargeting programs using multiple channels to improve conversion rates from leads to qualified opportunities
  • Drive improvements to website and overall digital presence of the business
  • Manage paid digital ads strategy and agencies to bring in new leads at a reasonable cost per acquisition
  • Design and implement appropriate traditional out-of-home marketing and advertising strategies
  • Partner with other internal stakeholders to convert and retain prospects and deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, or another related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience generating higher revenues based on execution of strategic marketing plans
  • Record of achievement in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; prior start-up experience preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership, growing/developing talent, and motivating teams 
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally with customers
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite

What we offer
  • The estimated starting salary for this role is $145,000-160,000 annually
